Our Meals using Christmas Colors Series sure brings a lot of festive colors to our dog’s food bowls. Isn’t that what’s it all about? Bringing healthy ingredients that are fresh and vibrant into our dogs’ lives? Well, at Your Pet Chef, we’re all about keeping it fresh, fun, healthy, and interesting. We don’t want you or your dog to get bored with feeding or eating the same thing day in and day out. That’s why we like to introduce new, seasonal flavors into our meal mix each week. We love hearing from our two legged customers how they love to “see what’s for dinner” when they take the food from the package for serving. It makes it an event – a fun, bonding time between you and your dog.
In the first of our Colors, GREEN, we chose some fan favorites. Broccoli, spinach, and green beans make appearances in our meals often. They each bring so much nutritional value to the table that it’s hard not to include them each week. Packed with flavor, even finicky dogs go for them. Here are more details on each of these Green Goodies:
Broccoli– Packed with anti-oxidants, broccoli helps fight cancer by cleaning the body of carcinogens and can even help fight abnormal cells. It helps with skin irritation issues by being packed with Vitamin C. In fact, a ½ cup of broccoli has more Vitamin C than an orange! Vitamin C is also great for gum health.
Spinach – Spinach provides iron, a necessary mineral in a healthy, balanced diet. It also provides Vitamin K which promotes good bone health.
Green Beans – Green beans provide some many benefits to our dogs. They are low in calories for dogs trying to lose a few pounds, low in sugars for dogs that might be battling diabetes, and low in carbs for dogs who may suffer with cancer. Green beans also contain Vitamin A which helps keeps eye sight sharp and keen.
