In this final installment of our series, we’ll discuss the importance of monitoring your progress when it comes to your dog’s weight loss goals. But first, we must interrupt this regularly scheduled blog post with some BREAKING NEWS – Chase has lost more weight! During his weigh in yesterday, his new weight is now 50.2. That brings his total loss to 7.5 pounds! He’s gonna be in the 40’s before we know it!
This news just reinforces the importance of checking our progress. Chase’s parents are much more motivated this time around as they are seeing progress and they are sharing that progress with me. I send them virtual high fives and real ones when I make deliveries. Having a partner in your weight loss goal really helps you achieve that goal. Accountability is in place – I check on them to see when the next weigh in is, what were the results, etc. I want Chase to live a long life and I’m going to continue to push and nudge until he’s at his goal weight.
Pet Age Magazine shared an article yesterday reinforcing many of the points in our series. You can read that article here.
