Our 4 Basic Flavors series concludes today with a focus on Zucchini and Radish. When we first launched our raw food bar program, these flavors were designed to do the following:
Provide healthy fresh alternatives to dog owners.
Provide identifiable ingredients to dog owners.
Create varied colors to make dog food interesting. Forget the brown – bring on the red, green, and orange!
In this series, we’ll discuss the benefits of each flavor’s ingredients and share some additional insights for each recipe. We hope you enjoy getting a peek inside our recipe creation process.
Our final flavor is Zucchini and Radish. We combined this with beef and beef liver for today’s entry. As with all of our Signature Flavors, we can combine them with other standard proteins.
Zucchini and Radish are such a great blend of nutrient rich ingredients. Here are some of the key benefits:
Help reduce inflammation throughout the body.
Help fight cancer and diabetes.
Is very low in calories.
Naturally cleanses the body of toxins.
Naturally lowers body temperature and relieves inflammation.
Along with zucchini, they combine for a powerful duo to help in weight loss.
Beef is a common protein that most dogs enjoy. It is higher in calories and fat content so we use it to balance out our calorie counts over the course of a week of meals.
We combine these ingredients and make them into our custom food bars. Shown are our small food bars which are 2.5 oz. each. These have been freeze dried.
We hope you’ve enjoyed our Signature Flavors series. Stay tuned for future series. If you’d like us to make food for your dog, start here. Thanks so much.
