This week we’re asking – “Can my dog eat that?” Our focus will be on fruits and vegetables that are coming into season over the couple of weeks. These items will most likely be on sale and easily available for you to freshen up your pup’s diet.
Today we look at – Sweet Corn and Corn Cob!
I’m saying NO on Sweet Corn as it does not add any value to your dog’s diet. Just like in people, corn comes out the same way it goes in, if you catch my drift. Why add this to your dog’s diet when it adds not nutritional value what so ever. Also, corn can contribute to a dog’s allergies causing excessive scratching or dry skin patches.
The Corn Cob can be very dangerous to your pup. It can cause blockages in the colon or even in the esophagus. If you use corn stalks as fall decoration in your home, I would recommend removing the corn cobs to insure safety.
