Our review of the 2018 Food Trends at Your Pet Chef continues today with Part 3 – DIY Pet Foods. This is how Your Pet Chef was founded. Working with my vet, we discovered a diet that would help our Shelby’s degenerative myelopathy slow its progression. It gave me comfort that I could physically do something to help ease her discomfort and frankly, eat like a queen. I felt good carefully selecting the ingredients I would use to make her food. I knew what she was eating because I made it.
This trend is one that I see increasing as more and more people want to know exactly what their dogs are eating. When I launched Your Pet Chef, I wanted to bring this sense of knowing what is in the bowl to all of our clients. We’re very open about the ingredients we use and work closely with our clients to ensure the recipes we create meet the needs of each dog oh and also, that they are delicious!
